Eirene Ministry Objectives for 2009
Eirene Education Center
- Provide classes up through fourth grade.
- Work with the government program of INEA so that our courses will cover all the necessary material the students will need to complete their sixth grade graduation exam.
- Have the school and teachers fully funded by monthly donations by the fall of 2009, through our two new support programs. (If you are interested in helping, please click here.)
Dental clinic
- Raise enough financial support for the dental clinic, $10,000 US annual, so that we can provide the dentist's labor free to the community, and only charge material costs to those we serve. (If you are interested in being part of this ministry, please click here.)
- Provide dental care to villages and people where there are no dentists through medical brigades and through the new mobile dental unit that we are waiting to import from the border.
- Magda finishing her orthodontics degree.
Sewing classes
Have 10 women and young women attend classes to provide them with the knowledge they need to make clothes for their families and to earn extra money.
Homeopathic clinic
- Promote the clinic better in order to see an average of 10 patients per week.
- Provide classes to the community in general health and dietary needs.
English classes
Work to find someone who would be willing to direct the English classes and restart this ministry. (If you are interested in serving in this capacity, please click here.)
Construction
Finish the demolition and reconstruction of the school building including: bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, and entryway/hallway into the school.
Camichines
- With the help of missionary interns, organizing a couple months of tutoring for the kids who need help with their schooling
- Foster care for children
(a) Finishing the second story of the home
(b) Finalize paperwork to ensure all government requirements are met for the home
(c) Complete the purchase or receive a donation for land to start building future facilities
